EUROPE’S FIRST LEED PLATINUM HOUSE IN MODENA

Casa Monica is a splendid renovated building in central Modena, the first European home to obtain LEED PLATINUM certification. The acknowledgement was awarded in recognition of the project’s low environmental impact, using innovative materials and technologies to make the building energy self-sufficient and non-polluting, minimising consumption of non-renewable materials. The construction materials used in the renovation project include Century’s TWO.0 collection of fine porcelain tiles only 20 mm thick, which meet all the requirements of the international certification system and therefore qualify as LEED Compliant, like all the Fincibec Group’s products. The Group is a member of the Green Building Council of Italy, and constantly works to promote and consolidate the LEED rating system, demonstrating its commitment to the environment every day in production processes employing low impact raw materials and limiting consumption of natural resources.
